Power Protein Balls - Alex Bovell

Protein balls seems like the perfect idea when you need a quick hit on the go. They have taken place of cereal bars and now line the shelves in every shop you enter. For good reason too. Typically, they are full of healthy seeds, grains and the protein you need to give you energy.

In reality, many of the ones you’ll find in the shops either have some added nasties, or they are far too expensive for what they are. It can put you off an otherwise healthy idea.

Luckily, we have a solution to that. Alex, our very nutritionist recipe creator, is at it again with her healthy, easy alternatives. Today, she has some delicious chocolate protein balls that won’t break the bank, take up too much of your time or require you to hunt down a load of exotic ingredients you have never heard of.

Here’s Alex with her chocolate protein balls:

These lil babies came about because Dec was after some yummy protein balls that he could take to work or eat after the gym. I don’t mean to toot my own horn but I’m super impressed with how they turned out, when we literally were throwing things together from scratch! If you were ever a fan of Summer Rolls or Bounty Chocolate, I definitely think you’ll enjoy these ones!
